As seems to be a common theme of the AL3’s season, the boys got off to a slow start with Manly Vale doing most of the attacking in the opening 25 minutes. We held them out until a dodgy bobble stopped meant keeper Carden couldn’t get a grip on the ball and Manly Vale were there to finish it off. The boys picked up after this and the remaining 20 minutes were relatively even between the two sides, unfortunately, we couldn’t convert and went into half time 1-0 down.
Started the second half much like we ended the first, matched pretty evenly with Vale but we lacked composure on the ball and repeatedly lost possession to sloppy passes. We only managed to generate a few chances in front of goal but couldn’t capitalise. Towards the end of the game, we went a bit to sleep and Vale were able to get another 2 goals. Overall a frustrating game for the AL3’s but not disheartened, we go again on Saturday
